Dr. Berthold Kuhn is a political scientist and international cooperation adviser specializing in policies and governance for sustainable development. He serves as an adjunct professor (Privatdozent) at the Otto Suhr Institute of Political Science (OSI), Freie Universität Berlin, and works as a senior consultant to the European Commission, United Nations organizations, German development cooperation, think tanks, consulting firms, and nonprofit organizations. He is currently based in Xiamen, China. Renowned for his expertise, Dr. Kuhn is frequently invited to speak at international conferences and workshops worldwide. His publications on megatrends, sustainable development, climate policies, and civil society are widely referenced.
Dr. Kuhn co-authored "Global Perspectives on Megatrends" (Ibidem, Columbia University Press, 2022). His academic and professional experience includes professorships at the School of Public Policy and Management, Tsinghua University, and the School of Public Affairs and School of Public Policy, Xiamen University. He has played a pivotal role in fostering international cooperation and strategic partnerships between leading German and Chinese universities.
