We lived and worked as a family in Xiamen from September 2023 to July 2026, a period that deeply shaped my engagement with China’s green transition and international cooperation. During this time, I also worked in Beijing on an EU-funded project between March 2025 and September 2025 and travelled for business and leisure to many regions across China, further strengthening my focus on climate governance and EU–China relations.
Conference and Academic Engagements in China (2023–2026)
Since September 2023, I have served as keynote speaker, panelist, and discussant in multiple high-level conferences and workshops across China. These include the 3rd Global South Think Tank Forum (Shanghai, Dec 2023), Beijing Forum at Peking University (Nov 2023), the Center for China and Globalisation (CCG) Global Innovation Forum (Oct 2023), the Asia Philanthropy Forum (Nov 2023, Nov 2024, Dec 2025), and the World Heritage Conferences in Zhejiang (Oct 2024 and Oct 2025), among others.
I have delivered guest lectures and participated in workshops and seminars at Tongji University, Xiamen University, Peking University, Hefei Normal University, and Haikou University, and also attended a research seminar at Hunan Normal University.
In the fall of 2024, I was involved as a guest lecturer in a graduate course on Social Governance at the School of Public Administration, Xiamen University (invited by Prof. Zhou Qian).
